Holidays tailored to YOU

While there is no such thing as a mediocre ride in Australia, we know that each riding group has a different set of priorities and that there's no 'one size fits all' solution when touring.

We create unique tours by listening to you and adding in any particular interests you have on your ‘must do list’. We then take our local knowledge, and include the most iconic and interesting destinations along the way to create a truly remarkable riding holiday tailored to you and your group.

All thoughtfully put together, keeping in mind how much time you have available, and taking into account the distance and amount of time you want to spend on the bike each day.

A wealth of local experience

We will never force you into a hectic, unrealistic riding schedule where you haven’t got the time to enjoy or fully appreciate how unique an Australian holiday experience really is.

Our ride leaders draw on their wealth of touring experience and understand schedules, the vast distances, the right time of day to be travelling, how quickly weather conditions can change, all of the iconic destinations and the best and safest places to stop and see them.

Our role is to deliver a tour that captures the magic of an Australian motorcycle holiday. The rest is up to you, your friends and your motorcycle.

Why you should tour in Australia

Australia is unique and arguably one of the best places for motorcycle touring on the planet. Aussies are easy going, friendly and eager to show you their beautiful country.

There are so many contrasts in geographical features, population and in nature. From the large capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to the isolated ‘Outback’ of the Nullarbor Plains, Uluru, Alice Springs and Broken Hill. Here you will see it all.

Outback towns have local characters taken straight out of Aussie films like Mad Max, Crocodile Dundee and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, living in places as diverse as Broome, Darwin and Daintree in the north, to Albany, Port Lincoln and Tasmania in the south.

Unique Wildlife

Wildlife in Australia is also unique and diverse. You can expect to see kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, possums, wombats, Tasmanian devils, dingoes, emus, crocodiles as well as many types of reptiles and flocks of colourful parrots that fill outback skies.

Add to this Australia’s mild, yet diverse temperature range and you’ll be assured there are destinations you can head to all year round.

Where to from here?

Steel Horse Moto will save you from missing the best locations as well as saving you time and money. Let us know what you have in mind, we’ll add that to our local experience and plan a tailored tour that gets you to as many fabulous places as we can comfortably fit into your schedule.

If you do have more time available, add one of our existing tours to another tour, we can then create a schedule combining those two tours, along with your personal preferences.

For example, you could journey to far North Queensland, then explore the world heritage Great Barrier Reef. Or ride the Eyre Highway across the Nullarbor Plains from the east coast to Perth in the west. If you're feeling really adventurous, perhaps a visit to the Australian outback at Broken Hill or White Cliffs. Or travel to Coober Pedy, Uluru, Kuta Juta, Kings Canyon, Alice Springs all in the ‘Red Centre’ of the Northern Territory.

Why not take an overnight cruise across Bass Strait to Tasmania and experience untouched wilderness. Perhaps ride over Australia’s Snowy Mountain Range to the Great Ocean Road in the south. We can also introduce you to Australia's fabulous wines, craft beers and delicious fresh produce along the way too. You get the idea, the options are almost limitless.

There’s so much that is unique to see and do… come join us on a guided motorcycle tour and discover what Australia has to offer. We know you will love it.
