Blue Mountains Grande Circle

Crossing the Blue Mountains so close to Sydney is a favourite tour for all serious motorcycle riders

There’s so much to see and do on this tour you’ll want more time to enjoy all the great places we visit. Departing Sydney, it’s an easy ride west, out along the highway to start the climb up the mountain. Our first break will be in the quaint township of Leura. Here you can shop and catch a bite to eat before we head off to the stony outcrop aptly named the Three Sisters. Scenic World is also part of this natural wonderland. We’ll spend some time here… you’ll realise why soon enough.

From here, we’ll ride the rim of the escarpment on the western side of the Range, to Jenolan Caves and our accommodation for the night. An optional night caves tour is available after an early dinner, or just kick back in front of the open fire and re-live the events of the day. 

After a hearty breakfast (you’ll need it), we’ll head off to Lithgow and back up the Bell Line of Road, to Bell and Bilpin where we’ll take a well-deserved break. Afterwards, we’ll travel down the foot of the mountains to the historic township of Windsor for an early lunch and a look around before heading back into Sydney.  

Sydney Harbour Bridge needs to be crossed by every rider visiting Sydney, so that’s exactly what we’ll do before heading back through the City to return our ‘steel horses'. After 2 great days of riding and some delicious food along the way, you’ll be so pleased you decided to take this Grande Circle Tour over the ‘mountains blue’.
