Hunter Valley Wine Country

The diversity on this tour will astound you. From sweeping country roads, through rich wine growing areas of the Hunter Valley, then across to the magnificent north and Central coasts back into Sydney. Simply the best roads near to Sydney of them all.

Just 1½ hours out of the city and you’ll be riding 130km along the mighty Putty Road. Arguably the second best motorcycle road in the country. With a morning break at the halfway point, you’ll be eager to get on with the second half as soon as you can. At the end of the Putty road we head directly into the best wine growing area you’ll ever see. It’s here in a magnificent vineyard within the Hunter Valley where we’ll take our lunch break. After lunch we’re off to Nelson Bay and our accommodation for the night. You’ll love the waterways here… clean and clear as anything. The dolphins just love it too. We won't mention the sharks.

The next morning we’ll head off early to Newcastle, then past a myriad of waterways and down the coastal roads to Terrigal for an early lunch by the sea. After lunch it’s a stop at the Australian Reptile Park to see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, possums, snakes, lizards, spiders and all those Australian animals you’ve been waiting to see.

To finish off our 2 days of great riding and sight-seeing we’ll cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge and ride through the city on our way to return our ‘steel horses’. You’ll never forget these roads travelled, the ocean and the animals you’ve seen… and all in just two nice and easy days of riding.
