Inland Outback Adventure
This outback adventure is an experience many Australians aren't lucky enough to witness… let alone on a motorcycle.
After picking up our bikes in the early morning, we’ll hit the road up the foothills of the Blue Mountains while the air is cool and fresh. Visiting Leura, the Three Sisters, Scenic World, the riding the rim of the Megalong Valley and sharing great food will all be highlights of day one. We’ll stay the night at Caves House in Jenolan Caves, where an optional cave tour is on the cards later that evening.
For the next 2 days we’ll be riding west through the ‘outback’ to Broken Hill. It’s two long days in the saddle but you’ll soon get into ‘the spirit of the outback’ as we see the land get flatter the further west we go. There’s much to see out here… Broken Hill is a real treat. Mad Max and Pricilla Queen of the Desert were both filmed out here. There’s the Royal Flying Doctors and School of the Air to visit as well as Silverton, Mundi Mundi Plains, the Living Desert and the Sculpture Park dinner as the sun sets. There are also mining exhibits, Aboriginal artworks, as well as many iconic pubs and interesting locals you can have a ‘yarn’ with. You’ll come away with unforgettable memories of places most Australians have never been.
On our way back to Sydney we’ll pass through many interesting and quirky little outback towns, travel on roads built for motorcycle riding, visit the Hunter Valley wine region and visit the Australian Reptile Park where you’ll see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, possums, snakes, lizards, spiders and all those Australian animals you’ve been waiting to see. We’ll end the ride as we often do, by travelling over the Sydney Harbour Bridge before returning our steel horse, having a beer amongst new found mates, followed by a well earned rest.
